Thanks to new online software provided by casino turnkey company WagerLogic LittlewoodsPoker.com is offering users the chance to play in private tournaments which they can set up themselves.
LittlewoodsPoker say the new software will allow a player to arrange the buy-in amounts, and bet limits for each hand, before inviting other players to join in the game. The software will also let the user exclude other players they may not wish to play with or against.
Every game set up and played will have its details logged and stored on the website so that players needn’t create a new game every time they want to arrange a game with their friends.
“We’ve had quite a few people asking us whether we can let them set up private games,” said Bruce Martin, Head of Operations for LittlewoodsPoker.com.
“As poker continues to grow in popularity, there are more and more people wanting to set up poker nights with their workmates or close friends. However, it can be a logistical nightmare getting ten of your friends together in the same room for a poker session as they may be living in different places across the UK or even the rest of the world.”
This looks a brilliant idea and we’re sure it’s one that will catch on and become extremely popular…but it’s never going to replace the boys poker night in however, is it? Unless the website is thinking of providing a crate of lager, some whisky and a takeaway curry for the lads!
